Technology Spotlight
Ortho Baltic has developed advanced design and manufacturing practises for Patient-specific Implants and Patient-specific Surgical Guides – premium quality orthopaedic products.
- The main advantage of patient-specific implants, compared to standard implants, is the custom design, which matches the implant to the bone and not vice-versa, allowing optimal positioning of primary fixation screws (the secondary fixation to the bone is ensured by osteointegration into the trabecular metal structures, whose depth is technologically unlimited) and ensuring the complete biomechanical harmonization of replaced joints not only locally, but in respect of neighbouring joints as well.
- Moreover, unlike standard assembled modular implants that are used to treat severe clinical conditions, the patient-specific implants are constructed as integral devices.
Supported standards & Certifications
- Our products and services meet the highest requirements of quality and security for medical devices in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.
- We print implants from titanium alloy in accordance with ISO 5832-3: 2016.
- Quality Management, environmental protection and information security systems have been approved to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 standards
